Oriel Grove

The site is located in east Hull off Exeter Grove and west of the Holderness Drain. The site is formed by an area of undeveloped land to the front of existing housing to the north, west and south. Exeter Grove is set back from Holderness Drain with a grassed embankment between the road the Drain.

The Oriel Grove proposals would provide 20 new homes of which ten are 2 bed 4 person family homes, six are 3 bed 5 person family homes and four are 2 bed 3 person bungalows.

The proposed layout ensures that the new homes are outward facing to integrate with the surrounding area. The layout includes provision of an attractive extensive amenity green space in the central part of the site to provide an area for informal play and adults to socialise. The green space can easily be accessed by residents with many of the houses backing onto the area providing safe and convenient access from rear gardens via lockable gates. The communal central garden space would also act as a SuDS and landscape feature.

The proposal includes off road parking to the side of the dwellings with visitor parking provided along the northern site boundary.

The design would adopt a modern contemporary approach as shown on the proposed streetscene below.
